OODANOOKETOH Architecture + Engineering is honoured to be working with Bunibonibee Cree Nation on the design of their new Governance House, a centrally located facility that will support leadership, administration, and community governance. The building program includes welcoming public spaces with seating areas and display cases to share the Nation’s history, along with chief and council offices, board rooms, program and welfare service spaces, finance and administrative functions, and staff support areas. An outdoor deck at the rear of the building provides an additional space for gathering and connection to the surrounding landscape.
To support the architectural design led by OODANOOKETOH, ODK is providing civil engineering and project management services, ensuring a coordinated, efficient, and technically sound delivery process. This integrated approach strengthens the project’s foundation and supports a seamless path from design through construction. OODANOOKETOH is responsible for contract administration throughout the project duration.
Through a collaborative and culturally informed process, the Governance House is envisioned as a functional, dignified, and community‑focused building that reflects Bunibonibee Cree Nation’s identity, governance traditions, and long‑term vision.
