OODANOOKETOH Architecture + Engineering is a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, technologists, and engineers working across building and infrastructure design. Our experience spans Indigenous and non‑Indigenous design and facilitation, heritage conservation, accessibility, trauma‑informed design, sustainable building systems, wildfire and flood mitigation, interior design, urban planning, and remote community projects.

As the first Indigenous majority‑owned and led architecture and engineering firm in Manitoba, we were founded to elevate Indigenous leadership in the built environment. We bring together traditional knowledge and contemporary practice to create thoughtful, technically sound work rooted in relationship, care, and community.

Meet the Team

  • Calvin Chubb

    President & Co-Owner.

    Calvin is a member of the Bunibonibee Cree Nation and is a Project Manager/Design Engineer and owner of ODK Engineering. Calvin has over 20 years of experience in Project Management, feasibility studies, municipal design, construction supervision, contract administration, project coordination, Environmental Site Assessments, site inspection, topographic & layout surveying, data collection, proposal preparation and drafting exclusively on Northern Projects. Calvin has been involved with a multitude of projects in varying types of construction, from transmission lines, building construction, water & sewer design & construction, road construction, Flood protection and environmental projects, including assessments of Manitoba Hydro easement issues on several Northern Manitoba First Nations.

  • Ralph Beardy

    Ralph is a Fox Lake Cree Nation member and a Project Manager/Designer with several years of work experience on numerous civil engineering projects at various stages of development. He possesses a deep, comprehensive understanding of external and internal factors influencing projects through his diverse roles and involvement in complex and challenging projects. His work experience includes project management, construction management, contract administration, transmission line tower design, project lobbying, project development, contract negotiations, tender evaluation, proposal evaluation, construction inspection, cost estimating, project scheduling, community liaison, project coordination, and proposal writing. Managed and provided leadership of a staff of 50, including engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, inspectors, contract administrators, architects, material technicians, drafting technicians and administrative staff.

  • Eric Ducharme

    Eric Ducharme is a Principal, Civil Designer, and Project Manager at ODK Engineering and a proud member of the Ebb and Flow First Nation. With more than 25 years of experience in civil and municipal engineering, he leads major infrastructure projects across First Nations in Manitoba, specializing in water and sewer systems, road design, flood mitigation, and community buildings. Eric is known for his steady leadership in emergency response, large‑scale housing recovery, and complex multi‑stakeholder projects that require coordination between Chief and Council, ISC, and technical teams. His work is grounded in safety, long‑term sustainability, and the advancement of Indigenous‑led infrastructure.

  • Wins Bridgman

    Vice President

    Wins is director of BridgmanCollaborative, which was founded in 1998. He is a registered professional member of the Manitoba Association of Architects (MAA), the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC). He has received the City of Winnipeg Leadership Award for the Advancement of Accessible Environmental Design and the Heritage Preservation Award for Excellence - Distinguished Service Award. He is also an accomplished visual artist, and served as the professional advisor for the two City of Winnipeg international design competitions City Re-emerging: A Vision for Winnipeg's Historic Waterfront and City Crossing: Portage Avenue and Main Street. He has taught at the University of Manitoba and serves as a guest critic.
